I believe that:

  • Education should begin in the home.
  • K-6 education develops educational skills used in a lifetime of learning.
  • Junior and Senior High schools prepare students for career choices.
  • All students need to make career choices. Some careers require university training, others require community or trade school training, while some career can be learned with on the job experience.
  • Excellent educational experiences involves a partnership of home, school and community.
  • Education continues throughout a persons life, although it may not always be in the classroom.
  • Outstanding schools focus on the classroom as being the center of educational existence.
  • Excellent educational results require high standards and expectations from all the students and staff.
  • Education should be structured to fit the needs of all of the students within the District.
  • All students belong in school with absenteeism being held to a minimum. This responsibility belong not only in the home, but the school as well as the community.
  • Positive, active attention should be given to those students and their parents who seem uninterested in education.
  • Over crowded schools do not provide the best experiences for an education.
  • Long range planning with professional, community and student input is the only way to have a successful outcome.
  • Children and their educational achievements are the life sustaining fiber of our democratic existence.
