The Impact of the District on our communities and environment.

By John Plock

Candidate for Board Member; Granada Sanitary District

This information is provided by the candidate
Looking at the district from an engineering standpoint.
I have over 40 years experience as a national and international consulting civil engineer and public works director providing services to a population in excess of 1,500,000.

In the past I alerted El Granada Sanitary District about locations of raw sewage discharges from their system. I convinced the City of Half Moon Bay to upgrade their system to eliminate raw sewage discharges at Francis State Beach. With other activists I insisted that the Sewer Authority Midcoast upgrade the sewer treatment plant to avoid discharging sewage during storms.

As you know, raw sewage discharge is more than unsightly and unpleasant. It is a dangerous health hazard and, for the health and general welfare of our population and to protect our beaches, it must be completely eliminated.

With your vote and support, I will work toward upgrading our district's system not only for our present needs but for the future.
