The next four years will require leadership, important and difficult decisions to be made, and the very best ideas to be implemented.

These will require council members who have met significant responsibilities in the past, and who are committed to doing what is in the best long-term interests of the residents.

Decisions in the area of development around the BART station, and other steps we will be taking over the next few years, will have substantial impact on the way our city functions well into the future.

Each project and each decision should stand and be considered on its own merits, and yet with a vision of the needs of the residents of the city, to the extent we can project them, several decades into the future.

In making such decisions, we must always maintain a balance, a view to the quality of life we now enjoy, and a view to the long-term best interests of the city and its residents.

I have the background, the commitment to work, the willingness to listen and to learn, and the ability to carry out the important responsibilities of the office of city council for Millbrae.

I ask for your vote on November 6.

Thank you for your support.
