Responsibility

By Ollie Brown

Candidate for Board Member; Menlo Park Fire Protection District

This information is provided by the candidate
I believe in a sound, fiscally responsible government that serves it's residents, without exception, by providing the finest emergency services for the best dollar value. I value your tax dollar and will strive to position these funds to provide the best use possible.

I have managed and directed almost every kind of emergency or disaster that has occured in the Menlo Park fire district, but understanding and managing emergency situations provides only half of the qualifications necessary to properly support the office of Board of Directors. The other half is being able to manage the financial assets of the fire district. I have years of experience in managing both facilities and finances.

I have extensive experience in Emergency Operations, Fire Management, Disaster Preparation, Finance, Community Services, Government codes, Personnel, Fire facilities and fire fleet management. In 1999 I was the Disaster Preparedness Coordinator for the City of Menlo Park.

My wife Patty and I have lived in Menlo Park for over 40 years. We have 2 children living in the area and 4 grandchildren. We love this community.

Because of my work history, familiarity of the area, and expertise in every aspect of Fire Protection, I am the best qualified candidate to earn your confidence and support for the position of Director.
