Board Member; Sunnyvale School District

I believe in a longer school year and a longer school day.

Most of our children have working parents, and the school is the only supervised time the children have until their parents come home. Extending after school programs until 6:00 pm is a good way to provide this service.

Our Students will compete for jobs in a global society, where school years are typically 220 days. By making use of a five week extended summer school and an extra hour per day, we can match the "time on task" of other nations.

I intend to work to accomplish these goals.
