Dixie Unification Petition

I have reviewed the reports from both sides and in my opinion the outcome of unification of Terra Linda High School into the Dixie School District has too many variables and assumptions to be a sure thing. The true outcome cannot be accuratly prdicted, and I am not willing to put our children at risk for a petition that has no concrete outcome. I do agree with exploring options to enhance both districts, but my belief is that decisions have to based on the fundemental of being in the best interest of all the students of our community. With the true outcome of this petition being uncertain, I beleive that it is too risky.

Next step: I beleive that communication with the petitioners and both school districts is a vital step in healing our community. There are many issues that face our schools today. It will take all of us as a community to solve them.
