Community-Based Governance

By Cyr Miller

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of San Rafael

This information is provided by the candidate
San Rafael community-based governing engages residents, workers, businesses, and visitors in decisions and action that continues the civic renaissance of San Rafael's unique neighborhoods, diverse communities, and downtown.
For five years I have been honored to serve you on San Rafael's City Council. Together, we have embraced the emerging opportunities presented by our community's diverse population, interests and character.

The San Rafael of the future demands the continuance of our community-based governing. An involved electorate must give the direction and engage in the action of making our city brighter and our society better.

We the People will build on our success and go forward the next four years as we celebrate this historic city in the New California. We will collaborate to improve the health and safety and maintain the heritage of our neighborhoods through enhanced community fire servicing, community-oriented policing, and activities that promote pride and responsibility among our residents. Further work is necessary to expand affordable housing and to calm the flow of traffic. We must sustain the environment we have protected and the economy we have developed. More than ever we are called to partner with our schools and non-profits in facing responsibly our quality of life.

Let me continue to work with you for our City. I ask for your vote. Please re-elect me to your City Council.
