How did I get here? (Who is really behind Ian Schatz?)

Upon living through my most recent public speaking experience, (I did feel a few butterflies in my belly), I was quite elated when Kathy Kelcey phoned to advise me that the South Bay Teachers Association endorses me for the position of Trustee for the South Bay Union School District Board. Mrs. Kelcey tells me that I was chosen because during the interview process, it was obvious to those attending that I was honest, competent, and truly concerned for the well being of our school district. I guess I was more transparent than I thought!

Other endorsers are primarily those whom encouraged me to apply for the position in the first place...
Doug Frink, who has managed the recent facilities upgrades at South Bay School, and his wife Patti who owns & operates a fantastic Montessori Pre-K school in Eureka both approve.
Ross Nash, a current board member, approched and steered me during our attendance at a school function last spring.
Of course, my wife, who serves as a volunteer on the South Bay School Site Council, approves.
My parents, Karen & Gordon Schatz approve; Both have served on the board of Maple Creek School District.
My Children approve, wanting me to be involved in their school at any level.
