Good intentions are not enough, it takes knowledge and experience to run a City. I am the ONLY candidate who has served on BOTH the Parks and Community Services Commission AND the Planning Commission.

I am committed to eliminate the embarrassing bickering that we continue to witness at each council meeting. I want to eliminate the politics of conflict and favoritism, moving to a more productive method of governing based on trust, respect, cooperation and what is best for all of San Ramon.

My goals when elected are:

  • Develop and implement an after school enrichment program at every school in San Ramon. This program will be free and will include recreational activities, arts/crafts, peer tutoring and homework help.

  • Insure that new development will never negatively impact traffic in San Ramon, and will aggressively work to improve regional traffic problems.

  • Develop an appropriate mix of housing, especially affordable Senior housing. I pledge to never approve housing projects that are not agreeable to the residents of San Ramon. What works in Concord or Walnut Creek may not be what San Ramon residents want.

  • Restore dignity, respect and trust in our relationships with citizens, Staff and Council Members. Our citizens should to be proud of their City Council, not embarrassed by their continual bickering.

My education and qualifications are:

San Ramon Planning Commissioner, July 2000 - present San Ramon Parks and Community Services Commissioner, July 1996 - June 2000 San Ramon Public Safety Advisory Committee, June 1995 - July 1996 Country Club School, Site Council, 1994 - 1995 San Ramon Valley Unified School District, Strategic Planning Committee, 1995 San Ramon American Little League, Board Member, 1995 and 2000 - 2001 Leadership San Ramon Valley, 1995 BA, Sociology, San Jose State University, 1986 MBA, Golden Gate University, 1990

We need REAL leadership; leaders with experience, balance, common sense and vision. Most importantly, we need leaders who are able to achieve REAL results without embarrassing the residents of our city.

I offer Experience. I offer Leadership. I am committed to represent you to the best of my ability.

I want the best for San Ramon, the best for you and your family. Vote Bob Patrino. Good intentions are not enough!
