Disclosure of Towns Growth Plans

By Michael Greggans

Candidate for Director; Town of Discovery Bay Community Services District

This information is provided by the candidate
While the current townleaders do not solicit feedback from residents, I speak to people at every opprtunity. What I have found people here express is shock, disgust and concern over the towns plans for growth.
There will ultimately be around two thousand homes built on the north side of Discovery Bay. This will more than double the size of this charming semi-rural community. As you can see by visiting the site, these homes and thier proximity to one another, while very nice inside, do not reflect the attitude or ambience of Discovery Bay. If that is not enough, most of you are unaware that the current town leaders have been suporting a plan that calls for 4,500 residences, including apartments on the south side of Discovery Bay adjacent to the marina. I hate to tell you that this is only the tip of the iceberg in the box of suprises the current town leaders have planned for you and your community.
