I am a lifetime resident of Union City. I graduated from James Logan High School in 1972 and California State University, Hayward. I have a B.A. in Psychology and a Masters certificate in Taxation. As your council member, I voted for: 469 units of affordable senior and family housing, a 10% increase in police personnel, a 4th fire station, which is now open, increased library hours, new parks, expanded recreation programs and a skate park for our youth. As a result of my intervention, the court finally directed payment of 4.2 million dollars to the Pacific State Steel pensioners. While I have been your council member, the development of Union Landing has increased sales tax revenues to an all time high, which will continue to revitalize our community. I have demonstrated the ability to balance individual and group demands with the needs of the entire community. I am fair and reasonable and work within the budget to keep the city in sound financial condition. I listen to your concerns because I believe in involving citizens in decisions that affect them. Allow me to continue to work with you to build a community where people can live, work and play in an environment that is safe and healthy. I respectfully request your vote on November 6th.
