Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Michael A. "Mike" Sanchez

Candidate for
Council Member; City of La Verne

This information is provided by the candidate

Generally, I feel that the government that governs least, governs best. Having said that, I do believe, that the government has an obligation to provide for the eldery, children, veterans, and those unfairly burdened by life's misfortunes.

It is my philosophy that it is the role of our local governments to the most for our citizens. Since every community is unique, it is these services that should be the most responsive to the needs of the citizenry. I expect that these services should be provided with a minimum tax burden to both residents and businesses.

I believe the most important vote a citizen casts is for his or her local municpal officials -- it is our city's officials who, more than any other, can positively or negatively affect our every day lives.
