As a member of the ABC Unified School District Board, I am very happy to tell you that I am supporting Melinda Kimsey for the Cerritos City Council. I have known Melinda for many years and she is a leader in our community. Melinda's commitment and dedication to the City of Cerritos has been demonstrated by her years of community service. Currently, Melinda is working as a teacher on special assignment in the Bellflower Unified School District. She supervises more than 44 employees in the district wide after school program, ProjectAPPLE. As a teacher, Melinda knows it is important to provide learning opportunities for our children as they achieve educational success. Our City will benefit form Melinda's experience, integrity, and leadership as a member of the Cerritos City Council. Please join me in voting for Melinda on March 6th.

Since becoming acquainted with Melinda Kimsey, Jean and I have both been impressed with her many qualities that would help her to be an effective member of the city council. She wants to be of service, not for the recognition, but to help this city continue to grow and improve. She has the ability to articulate her thoughts and ideas into word pictures that others can easily understand. Melinda has an excellent knowledge of the city's current concerns as well as problems of the past. She has hands on experience of working with people in a spirit of cooperation to obtain a common goal. The education she has obtained will benefit her directly in serving on the council. We believe the city, and we the residents of Cerritos, will be the benefactors for having Melinda on the council.

As a former three time mayor of Cerritos, I can say that the City of Cerritos would greatly benefit from Melinda Kimsey as a Cerritos Council Woman. I am very pleased to support Melinda because she is very qualified to represent all of the residents of Cerritos.

I have personally known Melinda for many years as a dedicated volunteer and a community leader. Melinda has the unique ability to bring individuals together to accomplish common goals. Melinda will work hard to expand our solid economic foundation, enhance small business, and improve City Facilities and services.
She is the only candidate with a Master's Degree in Public Administration. She fully understands the dynamics of city government and has worked for the State of California addressing local government issues.

I have known Melinda for several years as a person who cares about people. We have served together on a number of different committees to better serve the City and she always has a leadership role in the organizations she belongs to. She is regularly sought out for her opinions and suggestions.

As a member of the business community I fully realize that Melinda would be a tremendous addition to the City Council. She is very well qualified and her background in public administration will definitely be an asset as we continue to pursue excellence in the business environment.

Being west side residents, we know Melinda really cares about the west side and the concerns expressed by those residents. Melinda is the only candidate who really knows and cares for the residents on the west side, she has proved it many, many times! Melinda has had several meetings with west side residents and wants to continue this sharing of ideas through town hall meetings.

I have known Melinda since our early days in Cerritos back in the 70's. She has a great desire to serve and improve our community and I know she is someone that we can depend on to listen to our concerns and ideas.
