FAITH IN YOU Stephen R. Schulte, Libertarian Candidate for Ohio Senate #8

The most significant qualification that I possess, is that I have faith in you.

In contrast, I trust you to

Educate your children according to your values; therefore, I support a Child Centered Education Act whereby tax credits follow a child with the eventual goal of the separation of school and state,

Support the deserving poor according you your values; therefore, I support replacing coercive government welfare with voluntary private charity through tax and spending reductions,

Patronize businesses, freely and voluntarily, that have earned your support; therefore, I support a Fair Business Practices Act that will end all government subsidies to businesses,

Protect yourself and your family; therefore, I support a Crime Reduction program that includes right-to-carry law,

Spend, save, or give away your income according to your values; therefore, I support the phase out of the state income tax over three years with corresponding spending reductions,

Make your own safety decisions, therefore, I support repeal of seat belt laws and will oppose motorcycle helmet laws ( of course, you will be held responsible for your own decisions ),

Decide, in cooperation with your doctor, what is the best way to treat your health problems, therefore, I support a Compassionate Use Act that would relegalize medical marijuana,

Have a more powerful voice in politics, therefore, I support a Campaigns and Elections Reform Act that would significantly reduce the signature requirements for ballot access, significantly reduce the votes needed to retain party status, and to end the gerrymandering by the two old parties # replacing with League of Women Voters plan,

These bold and innovative proposals offer Ohioans real positive change.

Founded in 1972, the Libertarian Party has earned the title "America's third party." In the November 2000 elections, approximately 2000 Libertarian candidates are running nationwide, more than 2 times all other alternative parties combined, and Libertarians are challenging a majority of congressional seats, a first for a third party in 80 years. This year is also the third presidential election in a row that the Libertarian Party will be on the ballot of all 50 states plus Washington, DC, a first for any third party. Furthermore, the Libertarian Party has more registered voters nationwide than any other alternative party and has more officeholders than all other alternative parties combined.
