Tort Reform: Unclogging our courts from frivolous lawsuits

By Jim Raussen

Candidate for State Representative; District 32

This information is provided by the candidate
Many of the most innovative companies are startups and small businesses that are particularly vulnerable to frivolous and junk lawsuits. These lawsuits pose a serious threat to both consumers and large corporations as well. They clog our courts, increase unneccessary costs, threaten our economy and delay justice for the deserving. Frivolous lawsuits merely benefit trial lawyers and drain our legal system. We can have meaningful reform of our civil laws without infringing upon justice, safety, and quality of life of Ohio's citizens.
