The bill specifies that this coverage must include coverage for such bone density tests and are determined to be medically appropriate by the covered party's primary care physician for the purpose of identifying bone mass or detecting bone loss.
The bill applies to individual and group health maintenance organization contracts delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed in Ohio on or after the bill's effective date; to policies of sickness and accident insurance (as currently defined in section 3923.01 of the Revised Code) on or after the bill's effective date: and to public employee benefit plans established or modified in Ohio on or after the bill's effective date.
