It is possible to reduce the amount paid in property taxes by many residents of Hamilton County through a plan to use the interest on early payments. A significant advantage is that this plan, while reducing the tax paid by individuals, does NOT reduce the amount used for other purpos
The Treasurer and School Funding. (How Bob Drake will provide more money for schools without raising taxes)
Through the same plan mentioned in Position Paper #1, the Treasurer can enable individuals to donate additional money to schools, while providing a deduction for "charitable contributions" on their federal taxes. taxe
Economic Revitalization (How Bob Drake will encourage economic revitalization of economically "stagnant" areas)
By accepting a lower interest rate on some of its own bank deposits, Hamilton County can motivate lending institutions to make low-interest loans to qualified homeowners. That money, in turn, can be used to improve property and, thus, revitalize economically "stagnant" communit
