Information shown below:

An additional tax for the benefit of Anderson Township, County of Hamilton, Ohio, for the purpose of FIRE AND POLICE PROTECTION AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES at a rate not exceeding two and eighty-seven hundredths (2.87) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to twenty-eight and seven-tenths cents ($0.287) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2000, first due in calendar year 2001.

  Official Information

The 2.897 mill safety levy will fund the 1.67 deficit (which is currently being funded on an emergency basis by the General Fund); 14 additional firefighters paramedics and 3 additional police officers. The failed March 2000 levy, 4.68 mill would have added 3 police officers and 43 firefighters, which would have brought the fire department up to national standards. This 2.87 mill safety levy is a "permanent" levy. In the future, if more funds are required (for inflation or added services), an additional levy would be voted on at that time.
