Shall Article III-Executive, Section G-Clerk of Council/Finance Director, Paragraph 5-Absence, Disability or Vacancy, be amended to provide for an acting Clerk of Council/Finance Director?

   Official Information

Ordinance 63-2000, to provide for an acting Clerk of Council/Finance Director. This will provide direction for the replacement of a Clerk of Council/Finance Director who is unable to serve. Previously there was only a provision dealing with the office being vacant. The selection of a replacement will be made by the majority vote of Council, a body of elected persons answerable to the residents.
