Candidate for
Treasurer; County of Butler

I was born in Cincinnati, OH and graduated from Western Hills High School. My husband Bob and I have three children, Robert, Jr., Joseph and Lisa Marie. We are the proud grandparents of six grandchildren.

I attended both Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina and Miami University, Hamilton Campus.

In 1975 we moved to Hamilton, OH from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia where my husband had accepted the position as Head Football Coach at Taft High School.

After serving six years in private industry, I began my employment as the Assistant to Mary C. Law, Butler County Treasurer in September, 1981. During these 18 years with Mary, she has built one of the most professionally recognized and respected offices in the State of Ohio and I am proud to have been a part of the development and implementation of these administrative and technological advances. My priority is to maintain that degree of professionalism and continue to remain open and responsive to the taxpayersof Butler County.

My in-depth knowledge of the Ohio Revised Code and my relationship as the liaison with financial institutions holding Butler County investments provide a strong and solid base for my natural progression to the Treasurer's position. Together with my current position as Office Administrator overseeing staff responsibilities and the day-to-day operations, my qualifications have been enhanced by the additional 135 hours of specialized training acquired in seminars on investments, government finance, legislation, supervision and employee relations.

I have received the full support and endorsement from both Mary C. Law, the current Treasurer of Butler County and Joseph Deters, the current Treasurer of the State of Ohio, who have agreed to act as my Campaign Co-Chairs.

My 18 years of experience as Assistant County Treasurer have fully prepared me for the transition to the office of Butler County Treasurer.
