Ventura County, CA November 7, 2000 Election
Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Jim Garfield

Candidate for
Member of the City Council; City of Santa Paula

This information is provided by the candidate

We have a unique community and I have a vision of what we can be if we want. We have been down-graded around the county as the city with a high crime rate, high gang involvement and the place to put the jail and the dump.

We can and do deserve better. We can change perceptions and we DO NOT have to live with other peoples prejudices. We have a wonderful group of poeple who can and do work together to make this a better community.

With sensible growth we can have a better chance at attracting the best employees in our city agencies. We can pave our streets and have parks and play areas for our children.

Give us a chance and, together, we can make a city that employs its' people, pays decent wages and provides for our next generation.
