Professional Experience

February 1997# present Baxter Healthcare/Ohmeda, Inc. September 1985-February 1997 Zeneca, Inc.

I am responsible for educating and training physicians and healthcare professionals, primarily in the use of anesthetic products in the operating room and critical care/intensive care units. Over the past 15 years I have worked in most of the major hospitals in Bay Area, including Mills-Peninsula. Part of my job responsibilities also include working with hospital pharmacists to place drugs on their formulary, and with hospital purchasing agents to establish risk reduction contracts that lower their overall costs. Through this I have first-hand experience in how the emergence of HMOs and managed care has changed the economics and delivery of healthcare

June 1979 Foothill College, Los Altos, CA A.A. in Business Administration

I worked 20 hours per week to pay my way through school while maintaining a 3.7 grade point average. Received academic scholarship to attend Mills.

Community

National Women's Political Caucus--San Mateo County

The NWPC is a non-partisan organization that supports and encourages women to seek public office and provides educational outreach programs on women's issues to the community. I have been president of the San Mateo county chapter for the past three years, head of the endorsement committee, and a Board member for the past four years.

The Peninsula League of San Mateo County

The Peninsula League is a fundraising organization that targets selected non-profit organizations in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. This year we are supporting the Equine Training Facilities Center. I am currently the charity selection committee chair of the group.

Seton Hospital Foundation

I was a member of the Seton Health Services Foundation Board for two years (1994-1996) and helped plan two successful annual fundraising charity balls. Proceeds were donated to Community Charity Programs.
