First, let me introduce myself.

My name is Robert A. Green. I was born and reared in San Francisco. My wife, Diane, and I were married and moved to San Mateo county in 1967. We first lived in Burlingame for a year, then moved to Foster City in its early formative years. We have two children, now adults, Pamela and Deborah, both of which attended the San Mateo public school system.

I earned my Associate of Arts degree from City College of San Francisco and four years later graduated from University of California San Francisco Medical Center with the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy.

I have worked in San Mateo county since. I have worked in several independent pharmacies. I owned and operated my own pharmacy (Millbrae Pharmacy) for 20 years. Most recently, I have worked for a major chain drug store, working at many locations throughout the county. I have served as past president of the San Mateo County Pharmacist Association.

I am new to the world of politics and feel this should not be a career job. There should be room for new ideas and approaches in and on public boards. If you feel you have something to contribute, do so, and then move on. - I feel I have something to contribute!
