Existing Debt

By William "Bill" Rabenaldt

Candidate for Councilmember; City of Pismo Beach

This information is provided by the candidate
Paying off the existing debt and not forging ahead until you can afford to are very basic and sound principles! WE ARE NOT HEADING IN THAT DIRECTION!
Our General Fund expenditures now exceeds $9,000,000.00 annually and it continues to rise. It was less than $6,000,000.00 just 5 short years ago. Several years ago when our City was on the brink of real financial disaster, the cure was found in a drastic reduction of City employees and the virtual abandonment of road, sewer, water and park maintenance. I will take a proactive approach to our budgetary process so we are never placed in that position again. City spending is out of control!
