Whether its economic, job, small business, residential, health care, leadership, human resource or wetland development, or over development in Potrero Hill, underdevelopment in Bayview or on Third Street or redevelopment in Visitacion Valley, development is the most significant issue facing District 10 and one that affects all of it residents.

As Supervisor of District 10, J.R. will serve to:

  • Properly manage our land development growth with a focus on the development needs of each community, affordable housing, neighborhood preservation and balance of land uses.
  • Bring a viable development to the Naval Shipyard that will bring economic prosperity to District 10 and will serve District 10 needs.
  • Increase the number of good paying jobs for District 10 residents.
  • Develop technical career training programs with job matching for District 10 residents, especially for our youth.
  • Increase the number of business opportunities for new small businesses and existing businesses in District 10.
  • Improve our health care services in District 10 by bringing more clinics and services to our residents regardless of income or insurance coverage levels.
  • Increase home ownership for District 10 residents.
  • Work with the Mayor and other agencies to bring low interest home loan opportunities to the residents of District 10.
  • Increase social programs to reduce homelessness, junvenile delinquency and crime.
  • Improve our District's schools.
  • Improve our public transportation services to District 10 businesses and residents.
