Smart Voter Political Philosophy for "ED" Waymire

Candidate for
City Council; City of El Cajon

This information is provided by the candidate

Business Friendly This council has claimed to be business friendly but their voting record has shown otherwise. Patchwork ordinances have created an unlevel playing field and the council refuses to help. The Home Depot fiasco is an excellent example of the council doing what was best for their career and not for the City of El Cajon. Understand, Small Business is the backbone of the City revenue, we must create an even playing field.

Smart Growth We must understand that 1 million new people over the next 20 years will be here. 60% are going to be your children and your grandchildren, and we must prepare properly for them. We must look at where we want to be in 20 years and start NOW or we are going to be in the same mess as we are now.

Enhanced Education The School system has slowly gone away from the Arts, and I feel this is an important part of a child's growth. I'd like to see a program that brings College Majors to our Park and Recreation Department to teach our children the Arts. The College Majors can recieve credit and experience, and our children get to broaden their knowledge. The cost to the school system and the city would be minimal.
