Teachers Are Important Members Of Our Community

By John M. Rajcic

Candidate for Board Member; Ramona Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Our increasingly complex and interdependent society is making formal education indispensible.
Teachers are among the most important members of our society. A teacher is one of those special people who make the world better...as our society becomes more enlightened ,complex and interdependent formal education becomes doubly important...It is a major responsibility of the school to transmit and conserve those values that make for a better society. The assimilative force of the American Public School is an eloquent testimony to the efficacy of building an orderly society. What kind of public do we want? The answer has little to do with computers and class size. Do we want an angry soulless, directionless public of self-indulgent consumers? Or do we want a public that is tolerant and has a sense of purpose. Differences make any organization including our schools, Ramona, and our country better. Much like in physics, if there is no differentiation there is no employable energy, and organizations decay. America is a work in progress . Decisions relative to education here in Ramona can become a microcosm of what American Education aspires to be. We are one Nation under God with liberty and justice for all.
