GREG GRACE, Plant Manager - Judd Wire, Inc.:
It is my pleasure to take a moment to introduce Richard "Rick" Paul and explain why I feel he would be an excellent addition to the Escondido City Council.

Throughout the time I have worked with Rick, he has consistently demonstrated the highest level of honesty, intellect and overall personal character. In addition, he is personable, caring, and enjoyable to work with. He is recognized within the company as a perceptive and effective manager that produces superior results.

As an Engineering Manager, Rick is responsible for successfully resolving difficult issues that involve the company, customers, and the local community. Most recently, Rick's ability to readily determine the local community development needs, develop a fiscally responsible plan that satisfied these needs, and effectively comunicate with local community leaders has enabled the plant to meet its expansion objectives quickly and profitably.

Rick's sincere interest in his community, coupled with his strong leadership skills, are sure to make him an asset to the city council and ultimately make Escondido a better place to live.

TOM and MARLENE BEARD, Concerned Citizens:
We met Rick when we were organizing our neighborhood to fight a request for increased density of housing on the ridgeline above our home in the Escondido Country Club area. As a Planning Commissioner, he was very thorough in assessing the project. He read all the material, walked the property, talked to both developer and home owners. His vote was against the density increase. A part of his decision was based on enforcing the Hillside and Ridgeline Ordinances, which had been passed to protect our hills from just such developments. We feel Rick examines each and every project thoroughly. He is intelligent, dedicated, candid and independent. All qualities that are badly needed on our Escondido City Council.

JOE TOPPER, Business Associate:
As a business associate, I have found Rick Paul to be logical, accurate, detail oriented, responsive, fair and no matter the consequence HONEST. Since he is interested in further service to his community, the people couldn't elect another person more qualified and dedicated to them and Escondido.
