It's time to put some bite into our police and citizens
Last year three dead bodies were dumped on my street. This was a scary and horrific ordeal for everyone in my neighborhood. No one is safe from crime.

Our police department has done a wonderful job protecting our city. The Council tries to take credit for the low crime rate but I have not seen any of the councilmembers out on the field. The brave men and women of our police force were the ones behind the low crime rate.

As councilman I will help provide the necessary funding to the police and fire department and work with them to help get a faster response time.

The citizens also need to know that the police are their friends. When my neighborhood was being used as a drop off for illegal immigrants, me and my neighbor said "Enough is enough!" and called the police and Border Patrol. The police can't be everywhere all the time, the citizens need to help out too. My increasing the number of neighborhood watch areas we can help put some bite into our citizens.

We also need to increase our police force. By doing so we can increase the number of police officers walking the beat in crime neighborhoods.

On the subject of gang injunctions. I support it 200% and more! I grew up in a gang infested neighborhood. Since the injunction came into play I have felt more safe. No more guns going off in the night and no more drive by shootings. The ACLU says this infringes on the gang members' rights, well what about the rights of the citizens to live without fear of being shot at?
