Smart Voter Political Philosophy for William M. "Mike" Harris

Candidate for
City Council; City of Imperial Beach

This information is provided by the candidate

I am adamant about having a fiscally sound and responsible city government. This city can ill-afford to squander its limited resources. Current and future businesses need to be supported in every way possible in order to maximize their sales and hence their sales tax contributions to the city's coffers. They must be provided with promotional support, and their problems and concerns must be considered when formulating policy.

As an employee of the Border Patrol, and as a resident of Imperial Beach, I have a double interest in reducing, if not eliminating sewage contamination in our area. This is an international problem, and deserves nothing short of continued and expanded attention from the Federal government. As a citizen who works along the international border, as a resident, and especially as a representative on the City Council, I will insist on doing whatever we can to get this situation under control.
