Charles W. "Chuck" Duncan, Candidate for Palomar Community College District Governing Board

By Charles W. "Chuck" Duncan

Candidate for Board Member; Palomar Community College District

This information is provided by the candidate
The Three Most Important Issues Facing Palomar Community College District
I am a candidate for the Governing Board of the Palomar Community College District because of my strong belief in public education. I believe the Community College offers the best exposure to the future opportunities in life, and I wish to be a part of Palomar College's continued success.

I believe the three most important issues facing the District, and my thoughts for addressing each issue are:

1. The Selection of a New Superintendent/President

My previous experience in personnel will assist in analyzing the candidates' qualifications and contribute to the other Board members in selecting the most qualified person for the position.

2. Continuation of a Strong Staff

I would strive to assist the administration and staff in maintaining and adding to the current excellent faculty, administrators, and classified personnel.

3. Campus Building Renovation and Replacement

My background in the total school environment will assist in contributing to the discussion of the need for future building improvements and in selecting the appropriate funding method.
