INCREASING PUBLIC SAFETY

Public safety will always be my highest priority. We've all seen the Vista crime statistics lower over the last few years. But it's not just the number of incidents which are reported, it's also the increasing public perception that we no longer live in a safe enviroment. I am committed to placing more deputy sheriffs onto our streets in order to ensure thorough investigations, quicken response time, and enhance crime deterrence.

REDUCING TRAFFIC CONGESTION

No one disagrees that Vista's roads are congested. The problem stems fron our geographic location as the transportation hub of Northern San Diego County. Part of the solution demands that the City Council aggressively pursue the completion of the South Melrose Drive connection to Palomar Airport Drive.

SUPPORTING LOCAL EDUCATION

All of us want the best education possible for our children. I am committed to assisting the Vista Unified School District in every way possible. We must continue and expand joint-use programs with the VUSD, such as sponsoring crossing guards and improving student access to the Wave Water Park.
