Education: Grossmont High School, San Diego State College, Case-Western Reserve University, School of Dentistry, Cleveland, Ohio. B.S. and D.D.S. degrees.

Military Service: Two years active duty, Lt. Dental Corps U.S.N.R.

Private Practice: Thirty three years in La Mesa. During this time I became one if the founders of the Flying Samaritans, performing charity dental work through-out Baja, California. I received a Pilot's Licence and earned commercial, multi-engine, and instrument ratings.

I was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Grossmont Community College District, where I served five terms, and was elected Board President twice. We built the East County Performing Arts Center, and Cuyamaca Community College during this time. I demonstrated a sense of commitment to the district and the fairness and leadership that enabled me to run unopposed for my fifth term.

I was the team dentist for the San Diego Chargers from 1968 to 1978.

State Service: I sold my dental practice in 1993 and went to work for the State of California at Centinela State Prison in Imperial, California, driving back home to Fletcher Hills on weekends. I retired in 1997.
