My political philosophy is summarized by the Declaration of Independence which states:

"We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights; that among those are life liberty and the pursuit of happiness; that to secure these rights governments are instituted, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."

I believe that there are three things that are essential in order to reach the ideals of the Declaration of Independence:

Democracy
Capitalism
Civil Rights

My personal actions are guided by my civic values that are summarized by four statements:

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Everyone must take personal responsibility for their actions.
Racism and communism are evil.
