MY FAMILY

I am 47 years old. My parents moved to the area in 1967. My Dad continues to live in the area and my Mom passed away in 1983 after a wonderful career as a community service volunteer, working for years in many organizations, and especially, at the rehab pool at Palo Alto's C.A.R.. I have had my home in Mountain View since 1986. My best friend who 1s also my partner and my wife, Leslie, has blesses me with our wonderful life and family. We have three great kids - Jacob who is eleven, and our seven and a half year old twin girls Zoe and Valerie (KNOW FEAR - Have twins!). We enjoy camping, reading, fishing, hiking, Tae Kwon Do, traveling and skiing together. Our family participated in the Mountain View district's PACT (Parents And Children Together), parents participation program at slater school and all of our children have attended public school in the MVSD's newly opened Huff School. Our Son will be entering Graham Middle School in the fall of 2000. Here are some pictures from the first Huff School PTA Work Day. At this year's work day on August 26th, I used my pressure washer on the Kindergarten toys, teachers lounge area, hallways and outside walls. The school sure was spandy clean that first day - you betcha!

MY CAREER

I have had an interesting and varied career as a businessman and entrepreneur. I currently am working as a Realtor, however, I have owned and operated a number of successful companies in a wide variety of businesses, most recently, a Home Inspection Service. Other enterprises I have built over the years include a company that designed and built Semiconductor Manufacturing Automation Systems, and a General Contracting business. I also served as the Marketing and Sales executive for a software firm that pioneered the office suite concept for early computer workstations. I hold current California General Contractor and Real Estate Salesman licenses.

MY EDUCATION

I am a graduate of Los Altos High School (1971). I attended Foothill Community College, and then Columbia Jr. College where I earned my Associate Arts Degree. I transferred to Humboldt State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Fisheries Biology. I have completed continuing education for my Real Estate License and am a participant in the League of California City's Leadership Training Institute where I am only one class away from completing the intensive program.
