Mountain View's youth should have a voice in helping the city plan events for them. They need alternatives to gangs and drugs. Children need to have choices in the activities the city may provide for them. We will continue to work with the local schools.

We must also be concerned for their well being. That is why I led in advocating blocking their access to internet pornography at the Mountain View library.

We should keep fighting for our seniors. With the cost of living so high and continuing to climb, we must be sensitive to the needs of some seniors. I have heard stories from seniors who end up with $91 a month to buy food and pay for their water/sewer/garbage. That is why I said "NO" to raising the water/sewer/garbage rates.

We need to stay aware of how we can help our citizens with special needs. More public transportation, easier access to downtown and local shopping.
