We can make Carpinteria even better!

As a local accountant with over 18 years of management experience, I`m skilled in dealing with complex issues and I understand the need for careful planning to get the most bang for the buck. I have reviewed the last twelve years of Carpinteria City budgets and I will make sure that our tax money is spent wisely.

We must take action to clean our creeks and beaches. Landowners should be encouraged through economic incentives to prevent toxic run-off. I will work in cooperation with agriculture to restore the natural biological processes that can filter the run-off before it pollutes our creeks. Educational campaigns are needed so that people know the environmental impacts of their actions.

We need to make improvements to our streets and highways in order to reduce commuting times, provide for emergency access, and enhance the safety of our children. I will cooperate with our schools to make sure that our precious school dollars are spent in the classroom on teachers, books, and supplies.

I will preserve our small-town atmosphere and rural character while creating opportunities for everyone so that all of us can share in our community's vision. Let's work together with local builders, local carpenters, and local bankers to create housing for the people who are already here.

You may call me directly at 566-1475 or email me at Gregory.Gandrud@GTE.net. I'm willing to work hard for you to make sure you can rely on our city government and receive the best possible service at the least possible cost.

I am grateful for the tremendous support that I have received from our community. It is a privilege to run for Carpinteria City Council.

Please cast one of your votes for me. Thank you!
