Folsom City Involvement: For almost 12 years (since April 24, 1989), I have served the City of Folsom as a Folsom Planning Commissioner, currently as Chairman of that Commission.

For over nine years, (since February 1991) I have been Chairman of the Folsom Historical Committee. This Committee was later renamed the Folsom Historic District Commission of which I have remained Chairman. This Commission has land use authority over Folsom's Historic District.

I am a member of the City of Folsom Corporation Yard Replacement Task Force. I have served on numerous City of Folsom committees.

I am a 12 year member of Folsom Rotary, a member of the Folsom Chamber of Commerce and a Board member of the Folsom Concert Association.

Personal Biography: Born in Chicago, I came to Sacramento California as an infant and have lived in Sacramento County ever since (Sacramento, Carmichael and now Folsom). In 1984, I moved to Folsom with my wife and two daughters. Both daughters have since married and I have three grandchildren.

Personal Interests: Open Ocean Sailing - A major character building influence in my life has been the experience of engaging Mother Nature on the open ocean. In that environment, I have come to appreciate the importance of being decisive and calm while battling harrowing circumstances. For the past 30 years I have periodically heard the call which draws me back to the sea. In 1988 I sailed from Hawaii to San Francisco in a 41 foot sailing sloop. I have visited the Grecian waters of the Aegean Sea and most points along the western coast of the United States.

Mathematics - A hobby and lifelong passion.

Walking - My preferred method of travel, especially to points within Folsom.
