Getting the Arts off Subsistence

Rob has proposed converting a now closed city retirement fund, Sacramento City Employee Retirement System (SCERS), into an endowement for the arts and youth recreation, while at the same increasing much-needed benefits to the people who worked hard for the City.

After increasing benefits to senior retirees, there will be an anticipated $80 million surplus, with which Rob has proposed to turn into an endowement for the arts and youth recreation, a several fold increase over current expenditures.
