Name: Grant B. Goold

List your three major priorities (accomplishments you will work for once elected).

Once elected I will begin to work on the following priorities:

1. Secure adequate capital facilities, training and equipment to ensure a prompt and competent emergency response to each member of the Citrus Heights community
2. Secure adequate fiscal reserves to ensure a strong and viable public service in the coming years.
3. Securing a fair and safe work environment for all staff of the Fire district.

What would you work to change about the existing operations/policies/staff etc.

While the two current fire districts provide an excellent level of service, I will work to ensure that everyone in the new district never becomes complacent with their respective skills and responsibilities. I will also work to ensure that the Citrus Heights community receives information on just what the fire district is doing for your money. I will work to ensure an atmosphere that fosters change when needed and rewards those who push the change forward. I will work to ensure that changes within the Fire district are based on fact and not emotion.

Describe your management philosophy:

I am a firm believer in a management style that includes listening and involving those stakeholders that perform their skills during a call to 911. I also believe in a management method that strongly encourages everyone to improve themselves and their workplace.
