Gary Davis is an excellent example of what the public school system can produce. A life long resident of Sacramento, Gary has served diligently and honed his leadership skills, making him a candidate we should be proud to support for the Natomas School Board. Gary has spent his entire academic career attending Sacramento schools, culminating with his graduation from CSU, Sacramento.

Wise beyond his 26 years, Gary's greatest asset is his youth, bringing energy and initiative to any endeavor he attempts. Fresh from the public school trenches, Gary has the first-hand, up-to-date knowledge needed to address the modern dilemmas facing our schools. Gary has personally witnessed both the triumphs and tragedies that exist in today's classrooms.

Gary has served on countless boards and committees, as well being elected and serving as the CSUS Student Body President, representing and setting policy for over 24,000 students. Recently, he was appointed to serve on the Natomas Community Association. Gary is also an appointed member of the Natomas Community Planning Advisory Council and the Natomas High School PTSA. Currently, Gary serves as a Legislative Policy Aide to State Assemblymember Darrell Steinberg.

Gary believes that the Natomas schools can do better. He is running on a platform of putting kids first, and intends to do just that if elected. His vision is for every child in Natomas to get a first-rate education. That is, an education that will enable students to either start their career or be ready for college. This is but an example of Gary's commitment and mission to broaden and deepen local leadership capacity in our community. Gary is living proof of how our community can become stronger by a leader who is committed to making a difference.
