My political philosophy is simple. I believe that the parents and community members of Fullerton have the right to oversee their schools. I will work hard to ensure that our schools provide the kind of education that we believe will give our children the best chance for success.

Below are some specific items which I believe most Fullerton citizens would agree are important to the future of our district. I also believe that a School Board should be balanced. I believe that it is important to have at least one board member who is not a former educator and who will provide much needed leadership and oversight to an imbalanced board.

I want to make The Fullerton School District a National Leader!

20 to 1 in Kindergarten through the 3rd Grade is a high priority

Dealing with our immediate $34 million health and safety related needs in a fiscally sound manner.

Parental Rights is my Top Priority: The District must listen closely to every legitimate parent and community concern. There are no other board members who are parents of Elementary School Aged Children! Doesn't it make sense to have at least one?

High Standards: We must set the bar high to ensure that through a basic and excellent education that every child reaches their academic potential. Children reaching their Academic Potential should be the focus of the School Boar

Strong Leadership: Strong leadership does not have to be contentious. I will bring ideas, guidance and fiscal oversight without creating an uncomfortable atmosphere.

A Balanced Board: If I fail to win a seat on the Board of Education, 5 of 5 sitting members will be either teachers or people with a teaching background. Teachers should definitely be on a board of education. But it is wise to have both a parent of young children as well as a businessman on the board. School Boards were never intended to be made up solely of retired teachers
