  • Continued improvement in student achievement, particularly at the middle and high school level;
  • Preparation of our students for the high school exit exam;
  • Further implementation of our successful remedial programs for at risk students;
  • Increasing our Advanced Placement offerings at all High Schools;
  • Developing a positive program for retained students that improves their achievement level;
  • Improving our student enrollment projections, by better understanding demographic changes and their impact on facility need to better plan facility needs.
  • Development of more detailed plans and exploration of funding alternatives for further renovations to our existing schools;
  • Further developing our programs for training and supporting our parents, teachers, counselors and administrators;
  • Rapid construction and opening of Arnold Beckman High School to relieve high school over crowding;
  • Developing a concept and detailed plan for our proposed High School on the Tustin Marine Base, in conjunction with the adjacent junior college campus;
  • Reviewing the District's strategic and technology plans, focusing on how to better prepare all students to compete in the 21st century technology-driven world economy.
