Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Richard D. Runge

Candidate for
Director; South Coast Water District; Division 4

This information is provided by the candidate

In the nearly twenty years of service to the residents of Dana Point, I have tried to keep the best interest of the ratepayers first. In the early 1980's as a newly elected Director of the Dana Point Sanitary Distrct, I voted to eliminate pensions and health insurance benefits for directors and to improve benefits for District emplyees. Dana Point Sanitary District was one of the few public agencies that did not lose money in the Orange County bankruptcy. I voted to increase and improve inspections of Dana Point Sanitary District lines, as a result, those areas have had an excellent service record.
