Ballot Statement
I believe in Santa Ana. I support strong law enforcement, strong educational standards and cultural activities. Santa Ana is enjoying the lowest crime rate in the decade due to the great job the SAPD has done in partnering with the community. This partnership must continue through the Council's support of our police department and its officers.

Recent test results indicate that the education of our childern is not our priority. I will ensure that "Education First" becomes a reality by making it a priority. The relationship between the school district and the council must have the best interest of our children as its top concern.

I was raised in Santa Ana, earned a B.A. from CSUF, Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, mentor at Chapman Law School and I am a board member for CSP (Community Service Programs).

District Attorney Tony Rackauckas best stated my qualifications when he wrote:

" I am very happy to endorse Claudia Alvarez for Santa Ana City Council. She is a fine Deputy D.A. and she cares about the community she serves. Her background as... an involved citizen and a Deputy D.A. will serve the people of Santa Ana well."

One doesn't recieve this endorsement unless one has integrity, character and high ethical standards.
