In today's world you need every edge you can get... and our kids need every opportunity we can give them. Do you agree? A college education will give our kids a tremendous advantage. But today the average cost at a four-year public university is over $40,000. A quality Community College such as Bakersfield College can help us ensure that no student is left behind.

I will work hard to expand affordable college education to all. As a former Bakersfield College student, I understand the value of receiving a quality education from a Community College then finishing an undergraduate and Masters at a four-year University.

As your Trustee I will work hard to: keep the best professors, improve accountability, send dollars directly to the classroom and increase local control.

I'm part of a fourth generation Kern County family that values education, hard work and giving back. My wife and I care about our own two children and yours; a strong Bakersfield College is vital to all our futures.

I'll work hard to keep your trust and improve our Community College. I am asking for your vote on November 7th.
