Priorities and Experience
Many critical issues in Placeville have been determined by the vote of one City Council member. Some of those made Placerville a little better and some made it a little worse.

One Vote determined the approval of

· The downtown revitalization project · The public restrooms adjacent to City Hall · The massive scar on the hillside behind Albertson's on Broadway · Approval of City-backed bonds for three major subdivisions that are currently in bankruptcy · The exception made for the Office Max sign

In the next four years, major policies and actions will be made by the Council. They include:

· Allocating of Transportation Funds · Ensuring equity in water and sewer Rates · Meeting the needs of seniors and working families · Insisting on high design standards · Having developments have their own way

I talk with lots of people about what they hope to see happen in Placerville. Most say we need more services and retail opportunities yet want to keeps the small town feeling. We can accomplish that if we define our vision and set high standards.

I believe that I'm the person that can listen to the people, focus on issues, develop consensus, and make Placerville an even better place to live.

Your one vote can determine the result of this election. In 1994, one vote decided the City Council election. I urge you to consider your vote carefully and

Vote COLVIN for COUNCIL on November 7th.
