Larry and his wife Teresa have been married for 21 years, and have lived in Fremont for the past 17 years. Larry was born in San Francisco and graduated from Serra High School in San Mateo. Larry attended and graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Administration of Justice.

Teresa was raised here in Fremont and graduated from Irvington High. After graduation, Teresa attended and graduated from San Jose State University, receiving her BA, and her teaching credential. Teresa has worked as a Process Quality Specialist for Octel and Lucent, and now devotes many hours volunteering with the schools and Little League.

They have four children: Alicia (19) and in college, Christina (16) attends Washington High, Lawrence (12) is at Thornton Junior High, and Jonathan (9) goes to Patterson Elementary.

Larry has been active at the school site level for quite a while. He has always been involved in all manner of fundraisers for the children, teachers, schools, and youth leagues.

Larry is a member of the Patterson PTA and has been elected President for the past four years and he has also served as Vice-President and Secretary. He has also been elected to the Patterson School Site Council (SSC), for seven years and has served as Chair for three years. He is currently the Secretary of the Patterson SSC. Also at Patterson, Larry served as the first Chair of the Ethnic and Race Relations Committee. At Washington High School, Larry was elected to the School Site Council for the past two years, and has served as secretary both years.

Larry is a technical recruiter who teams with some of the best known companies in Silicon Valley searching for software and hardware engineers. Everyday, he sees the "value of a strong education".

Larry is very proud to have been part of the team that fought the Board's decision to close some of our schools. We were successful in keeping Kennedy, Walters, and several elementary schools open. Just imagine the overcrowding and additional problems we would be discussing today if these students had been separated and sent to other schools!

We NEED our schools to stay open as Fremont continues to grow!
