Eric Swalwell - Dublin School Board Trustee

By Eric N. Swalwell

Candidate for Governing Board Member; Dublin Joint Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Experience encompasses an extensive managerial background in law enforcement, and loss prevention that includes public and governmental agencies.
My background spans a twenty-seven year period, seventeen of which were in law enforcement, four as a Chief of Police. Presently, I am a District Manager/Security Consultant for a 3 billion dollar retail chain.

I understand and promote the need for financial solvency and expect nothing less from those accountable. As a father of four sons I am concerned like so many other parents that every door of educational opportunity is made available to our children. However, I also recognize the overwhelming responsibility of a District to assure that teachers are provided with the tools necesary to accomplish such a demanding task.

As a Trustee for the Dublin School District I would promote technology, science and math programs that enrich young minds. Furthermore, school site assessments would be completed and addressed to assure a safe/secure environment for students, teachers, and staff. In addition, reduction in class size, retention of teachers/staff, and fair monetary compensation are related concerns.
