Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Janet C. Gibson

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Alameda Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate

Maintaining an excellent educational system is one of the most important challenges facing the citizens of Alameda. If elected, I will be an advocate for the school children of Alameda. I understand and am committed to the educational needs of all of Alameda's children.

School Board meetings should provide opportunities for rich dialogue and critical thinking on our educational issues. If elected, I will encourage and support the active participation of parents and community members. I will respect and value the contributions of Alamedans to our educational system.

Our "Vision" must be implemented by quality teachers and other support staff. If elected, I will work to maintain and recruit employees of excellence.
